Merging art and science at the SF Sutter Medical Office Building
This glass and metal lobby sculpture welcome visitors to the corner of Geary St. and Van Ness in Downtown San Francisco. It is inspired by willow bark, one of man’s earliest healing tools, when examined under the microscope. To add dynamism to the 12’x10′ backlit panel assembly, fused glass and aluminum rings overtop continue across the wall.
Lobby is open to the public, visits to view the sculpture are welcome. Its sister sculpture is across the street.
In collaboration with Landscape Sculptor Deanna Marsh.
